Many retail investors prefers to buy cryptos under 1 cent, as then they can own more tokens for their investment and thinking coins at low prices potentially have more room for growth and therefore a high return on their investment (ROI) in the next crypto bull run.
This isn’t necessarily the case as coins with a high circulating supply will, mathematically, tend to have a lower price per coin than ones with a lower circulating supply by definition.
Crypto enthusiasts are put off buying Bitcoin seeing the high price of one Bitcoin – currently over $40,000 in early 2022 – however that is in part due to there only being 21 million Bitcoin in its finite supply. It is still possible to buy a fraction of one Bitcoin, e.g. 0.01 Bitcoin for $400, and for that to be a good investment in the long-term. All that matters is the percentage increase in value.
The logic can apply though for cryptos under 1 cent that are brand new coins or projects early in their roadmap. That usually requires using lesser known crypto exchanges.

Both Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Floki Inu (FLOKI) are crypto coins under 1 cent, and very popular with investors.
